How Duo works

Setting up your Duo profile is quick and easy:

Upload a visible photo (mandatory for trust and safety)

Fill in your name, email, dance level, dance role (leader, follower, hybrid), dance styles, social media links, and homebase

Enable geolocation to find dancers and professionals nearby

Once you're in, you can:

Discover nearby Brazilian Zouk dancers and professionals

Explore local Zouk communities with leaders, teachers, WhatsApp groups, and event pages

Browse and filter profiles based on location, level, style, and more

Preview and edit your own profile anytime

Frequently asked questions

Is a profile photo mandatory?

Yes, a visible photo is required to keep our community authentic and welcoming.

Where do I find my facebook username?

Go to your Facebook profile and select the username from the link "facebook.com/username" . You can also go to your profile and click on the "..." next to Edit. Go to the bottom and select the username from facebook.com/username.

Why can't I find myself in the listings?

You won’t see yourself, but you definitely will appear in public searches of others.
To view your profile, go to your profile preview in Settings.

What location should I use if I travel a lot?

Set your current homebase location. You can update it anytime as you move.

How often should I update my homebase location?

Whenever you change cities or stay somewhere new for a while, update it so other dancers can find you.

Who qualifies as a professional on Duo?

Professionals are teachers, independent dancers, dance schools, and event organizers offering Brazilian Zouk services.

Where can I find the events?

You can find events on the Events tab. Browse upcoming socials, workshops, and festivals near you or in any city worldwide.

How can I report inappropriate behavior?

You can report someone directly from their profile. You also have the option to block the person.
If needed, you can also contact us at [email protected] with details and screenshots.

Can I block someone from seeing me?

Yes! You can ban users so they won’t be able to see your profile or interact with you. We’re also continuously improving safety features to give you more control.

Is Duo linked to Caribbean zouk?

Not really. Duo is dedicated to the Brazilian Zouk dance community (also called BZouk, Brazouk, or Zoukb).

However, Brazilian Zouk itself is linked to Caribbean zouk music.

How do I delete my account?

You can delete your account from Settings. This will permanently remove your profile and all associated data.

What if I forget my login password?

Use the "Forgot password?" link on the login page, or contact support if needed.

YES PLEASE! You can submit feedback from any screen of the app using the button in the bottom right corner. Your insights help us shape an app that really serves the dancers' needs.
