Zouk brasileño
We offer a weekend workshop in Brazilian zouk for beginners. We teach basic steps in Brazilian zouk. We build a solid foundation that allows you to feel comfortable on the dance floor. You do not need a partner. Brazilian zouk is a beautiful and sensual partner dance that was developed from lambada in the early 1990s. Zouk has a structure with basic steps and specific rhythm, which creates the basic structure where creativity and improvisation are welcome. Brazilian zouk is often characterized by the beautiful flow, upper body and head movements, the elasticity of the movements, tilted turns, body isolations and playing with the music. It invites a deep contact with the breath, listening and connection with the partner. Leader or follower? In couple dance, there is usually a leader and a follower. Simply put, the leader invites a movement and the follower completes it. Anyone can dance as a leader and anyone can dance as a follower! These roles are in no way gender-specific, and many people do both. In this course, you are asked to choose between leading or following.
